The NTRG is a group of researchers led by Prof. Donal O'Mahony working in a wide range of areas involving core networking and telecommunications technology. In addition, the group has a keen interest in Network security technology and the application of this technology in Electronic Commerce.

There are currently research opportunities and studentships in the NTRG. If you are interested in joining us, we'd like to hear from you!

The NTRG operated an X.509 certification authority - IE-ACA - as part of the ICE-CAR project.

We are involved in many projects spanning a wide range of technologies such as 4th Generation Telephony, Network Security, Electronic Payment Systems and E-Commerce, Multimedia Streaming, ATM and Ad-Hoc Networking. For more information on these and other projects please see our projects page.
